I’m not claiming to be an all-knowing car guru, however it’s pretty rare I stumble on something that I’ve never even heard of. Imagine my surprise when I saw this 1956 Dodge La Femme at the Granby International car show! To be fair, it’s not surprising that I hadn’t heard of it, since it is quite the obscure car. The Dodge La Femme was built on a Chrysler Newport body, and targeted specifically at women. I’m betting that they didn’t have many women actually working on the project, however. It’s a really nice car, but more as a curiosity than anything else, as it looks like a Barbie playhouse. The restoration is absolutely stunning, however. Now a flaw anywhere, literally. Here are a couple of pictures for you to enjoy; unfortunately, the hood was open so I don’t have a full-on head shot (so to speak).

The La Femme and the car next to it were brought to the show as showcases for a restoration company called ‘Restoration Cent Points’, which translates into ‘Hundred-Point Restoration’. I’m no judge, but those cars look mighty fine!

I love those seats; it doesn’t look like much, but it makes getting in the back seat a lot easier than otherwise.
