Now here’s a car I was happy to see at the Granby International car show! Despite its measly four cylinders, the 1986 Lotus Esprit Turbo pictured below is one of what I consider to be the 1980s seminal supercars. Of course, most people think that a supercar needs 10 or 12 cylinders to be considered as such, but I don’t think so. The Lotus Esprit Turbo was incredibly quick for the time, and like all Lotus cars, it’s true strength was in its combination of light weight and advanced suspension, which made it the car to beat on any track. This white one is in perfect condition and really doesn’t look its age! That’s one car I’d be happy to drive, any day!
